05-21-2006, the wedding

Normin and I got married last May 21, 2006. We had our wedding ceremony at the historic Church of Reflections in Knotts Berry Farm, and our reception at the beautiful Los Coyotes Country Club, in Buena Park, CA (see photo).

The wedding was what we expected and then some. It was beautiful...the food was good, the flowers arrived on time (yey!), the limo came and picked me up, the DJ was entertaining....There were a few glitches, (such as the staff messing up my favor arrangements! Also, some hungry people informed me (the bride) that we apparently were running out of food. It was a buffet style arrangement, and our guests were mostly Filipinos - we like to eat....I am surprised the food lasted longer than I thought it would.

I could have wished for more sun. The day was a bit gloomy. I would have liked to have taken more pictures outside the country club. Oh, well - the experience went by so fast.

People kept asking me how married life has been....I felt so weird, because I kept telling them, "well, it is the same...." People look at me with a puzzled expression on their face..... People seem to expect that there will be some major change after a couple exchanges vows...there shouldn't be, right? I mean, after all, you married that person, for the most part, because of that constant love and devotion, that you continued to feel throughout the years....(or months for some people). If those emotions had changed....then we wouldn't have gotten married at the end of it all.

Our wedding anniversary is in 2 months...I wonder where we will celebrate?

Oh and by the way, married life still feels the same...nothing changed, which is a good thing.

Rascal and Teddy

These are my doggies, Rascal and Teddy. Teddy is a five-year old Bichon Frise and Poodle mix. I adopted him from Bichon and Buddies non-profit rescue organization last January 2006. He has been such a blessing. He is sweet, gentle-mannered, and has touched my heart in so many ways. He often looks at me adoringly with those light brown eyes...there is such love and appreciation in his gaze, that I find amazing.

The little one is our new doggie, Rascal. He is a 4 months old, pure-bred Bichon Frise. My husband gave him to me, as a Valentine's day present. He is quite a character. Naughty but nice at the same time. He follows Teddy everywhere and licks his face (Teddy pretends as if he does not like it, but I think he secretly loves his little brother, Rascal). He likes to eat the scraps off Teddy's bowl (because Teddy will not share), and likes to cuddle up with Teddy, on the couch.

These doggies are such darlings. Having them, has been such a life altering experience for me and Normin. We can't even remember our lives without them.
