24 weeks pregnant - Nola is swimming

I am just about 24 weeks (6 months) pregnant, and we have quite awhile to go.  My tummy is definitely getting bigger, and our little "fish" named Nola is definitely swimming in Mama's tummy. I can feel her more prominently at night now - it is not just a wave or bubbles, like how it was before. When she moves, it feels more like a nudge - like someone is touching my insides. It is very weird, and freaky, and amazing at the same time.
I have bought many maternity pants (thank god for Target!) and have been using all the maternity clothes that I received as gifts this Christmas. My feet are a bit swollen. I feel huge and sometimes look huge in pictures, but my nurse said I really did not gain that much weight - about 15 pounds, which is not bad.
Aside from needing more sleep than usual, I feel pretty much the same. I am not craving anything or hungry for anything. I just eat more frequently, and I am just more tired than I would usually am....other than that, so far so good.
See you in 3 1/2 months, little fish.

Purple Madness

I must say, one of the perks of knowing that we will have a baby girl, is that I get to enjoy shopping for really cute and girly stuff for our baby's nursery.

I have this desire to give this baby the best that we could give her. It is not necessarily the amount of how much something is, but rather, I want to take the time to savor every little detail that will touch her daily life. I look into every little thing...from her pillow, from the paint on the walls of her room, the crib, her crib set, her stroller, her car seat, her baby monitor - everything and anything.

I have waited a long time to be a mom - and I want to enjoy every little thing that has anything to do with my baby.

Anyways, we have decided on a room motif for her. It has changed a few times over the course of a couple of months, but I think we are set - and her father and I are in agreement. We looked, and we looked and it is hard because there are so many cute decor. However, there is something about the color purple or lavender that holds my attention, more so than others.

I didn't want anything too babyish or ordinary- I wanted something classic, elegant, sweet and beautiful. I saw this set from Lambs & Ivy - on one of our many baby furniture visits. It looks so much more enchanting on person than how it all looks on a photo. It is purple, but not too purple - it has accents of sage and gold - that will easily match the rocker we have in mind.

I hope she likes it. Mama sure does.
